Ovarian cysts are fluid-filled sacs that are found on the ovaries; widely known to occur in women and are mostly benign.

Types of Ovarian Cysts:

Functional Cysts:

- Follicle cysts: These develop when the egg-containing sac, or follicle, doesn't burst or release its egg during ovulation.

- Corpus luteum cysts: These are created when blood or fluid fills the corpus luteum, a transient mass that develops after ovulation. They normally don't do any harm and go away on their own in a few months

Pathological Cysts:

- Chocolate cysts, or endometrioid cysts: These are brought on by endometriosis, which is the growth of endometrial tissue outside the uterus.

- Dermoid cysts: Made of embryonic cells, these cysts include tissue such as skin, hair, or teeth.

- Cystadenomas: These can grow to be quite large and originate from ovarian tissue.

In Vitro Fertilization (IVF)

IVF is a process that involves retrieving eggs from ovaries and manually combining them with sperm in a lab for fertilization. The fertilized egg (now called an embryo) is placed inside a uterus to ensure pregnancy.

Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)

IUI is a type of artificial insemination where doctors insert sperm directly inside the woman’s uterus around the time she is ovulating, helping the sperm get closer to your egg, to increase the chances of pregnancy.

Laparoscopy

Laparoscopy for infertility is a minimally invasive surgical procedure in which a telescope- like instrument (laparoscope) with light and small camera allows the surgeon to treat female infertility issues like fallopian tubes issues, ovarian cysts, Fibroids etc.

Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI)

Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) is form of in vitro fertilization (IVF) which involves injecting live sperm directly into a woman’s eggs in a laboratory. ICSI is most commonly used when male infertility affects a person’s ability to conceive a child.

Blastocyst Culture & Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET)

Blastocyst embryo transfer is a specialized IVF technique in which an embryo that has been cultured to the blastocyst stage is transferred to the womb. Blastocyst culture and day 5 embryo transfer for IVF allows selection of the best quality embryos for the transfer.

Hysteroscopy

Hysteroscopy involves inserting a hysteroscope, a thin tube with a camera, through the vagina to diagnose problems like Uterine Polyps & Adhesions and carry surgical procedures to correct the same.

Micro TESE

Microscopic testicular sperm extraction (micro TESE) is a procedure that takes sperm directly from the testicular tissue of a man’s reproductive system. If a man can't release or make enough healthy sperm naturally, this medical procedure may be recommended for fertility reasons (to enable the man to father a child)

Surgical Sperm Retrieval (TESA)

Only men with no sperm in their ejaculate (azoospermia) need to have sperm retrieved directly from the testis or epididymis. The procedure is generally performed with local anesthetic and is a clinic-based procedure. Once sperm is retrieved, pregnancy is possible with the use of intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI).

Egg Freezing

Egg freezing is the process of extracting eggs from the ovaries to preserve them, so they can be used to try and become pregnant at a later stage.

Embryo Cryo Preservation

Embryo freezing (cryopreservation) freezes and stores fertilized eggs for later use. It’s often used with fertility treatments that create embryos, such as in vitro fertilization (IVF). It also can help people preserve fertility and get pregnant in the future.
